Santander’s CVA charge up 15% in Q3

Other eurozone G-Sibs see their CVA requirements fall

Banco Santander’s credit valuation adjustment (CVA) capital charge climbed €18 million ($20 million) in the third quarter of the year, while those for other systemic lenders in the eurozone fell.

The Spanish bank’s CVA capital requirement stood at €143 million as of end-September, up from €125 million a quarter prior and at its highest level since Q4 2018.
