Six Swiss Exchange CEO: Markets need 'single set of eyes'

More data sharing needed to empower local regulators, says Six’s Katz

Christian Katz, chief executive of Six Swiss Exchange, said regulators need to receive more data from the EU to have effective oversight of the markets.

Currently, trade data on securities is held by markets where the deal is completed, before being passed on to the EU. Katz argued that, for regulators to be more effective, this data needs to be passed on to the regulator for the home market of those securities.
