US Bank’s op risk chief on terrorism and continuity
Jodi Richard, US Bank’s chief operational risk officer, explains her overhaul of the firm’s op risk programme, including its plans for crisis management
Terrorism is a constant worry for financial services firms. That includes the spectre of organised extremist groups – such as those accused of perpetrating recent attacks in Brussels, Nice and Paris – as well as the threat of radicalised 'lone wolf' operatives.
Given what it sees as a heightened risk, US Bank is reinforcing its plans for this kind of event.
