EC weighing response to new frontloading fears

EC is discussing issues raised by the new threshold-based approach to clearing. Dealers have described it as a "huge problem"

The European Commission (EC) is aware of industry concerns about a proposed fix to so-called frontloading requirements in the region's derivatives clearing regime and is "considering an appropriate response", says the head of the unit that drafted the original rules.
