Tesco's foray into mainstream banking off to awkward start

LONDON - UK shoppers hit the jackpot after a cash machine gave users free bank notes due to a freak "operational error".

An automatic teller machine owned by UK supermarket chain Tesco in Hounslow, West London, mistakenly dispensed extra £20 notes for a number of hours on August 17, prompting customers to call their friends and family to make the most of the giveaway.
