Kroeker leaves SEC for private sector

The US Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) chief accountant, James Kroeker, will resign in July to seek work in the private sector. Kroeker joined the SEC in February 2007 as deputy chief accountant, and took over from Conrad Hewitt as acting chief accountant when Hewitt retired in January 2009.

Before joining the SEC, Kroeker was a partner at Deloitte & Touche's National Office Accounting Services Group. No successor has been named; Paul Beswick, the deputy chief accountant, is expected
