Fortis names new Belgium chief executive

Fortis Investments has appointed Olivier Lafont as chief executive for Belgium.

Lafont, who was formerly head of Belgian institutional sales, is based in Brussels. He replaces Peter de Proft, who has left to take a high-level position at the European Fund and Asset Management Association.

Véronique de Medts takes Lafont’s old job as head of Belgian institutional sales.
