Speed streaming on the Straits Times Index

New streaming technology has been introduced in Singapore to increase the speed and improve the transparency of structured products trades.

The application of new streaming technology on the Straits Times Index (STI) has been announced by index operators Singapore Exchange (SGX), FTSE Group (FTSE) and Singapore Press Holdings (SPH).

The streaming drive allows traders and investors to get real-time intra-second updates any time the price of the underlying constituents changes, rather than the current 15-second intervals.
