BNP Paribas again leads eurozone banks on repo exposures

French bank increased exposures 69% over the first six months of the year

French bank BNP Paribas again massively increased its repo exposures over the first half of the year, repeating a pattern in evidence going back to at least 2018.

The firm disclosed exposures linked to securities financing transactions (SFTs), which largely consist of repo agreements, of €321.9 billion ($375.3 billion) as of end-June.
