CFTC trade reporting update turns into another rewrite

Expansion of Unique Product Identifier accompanied by 30 new, US-specific data fields

The introduction of 49 extra trade reporting fields to a proposed update by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission is being questioned by specialists. 

The update comes alongside an extension of the Unique Product Identifier (UPI) to include commodities, which was expected at some point, says Alan McIntyre, North American reporting director at technology vendor Kaizen.
