Reach of Dodd-Frank concerns energy players in Asia

The potential extraterritorial application of the US Dodd-Frank Act weighed on the minds of speakers and delegates at the Energy Risk Asia conference, held in Singapore on September 29. Speakers at the event, held at the Grand Hyatt hotel, said provisions in the hard-won US law, which was passed last July, could have severe implications for Asian energy companies.
