40 million cards exposed to fraud

MasterCard and Visa fell victim to a credit-card scam in June that potentially exposed 40 million cards worldwide to fraud due to a theft of data from Atlanta-based CardSystems Solutions, an external vendor that processes retail credit-card transactions.
