Credit Suisse has appointed Zhenyi Tang as China chief executive, following the Swiss bank’s announcement in April of its plan to increase its stake in the onshore securities joint venture to 51%. He will also be a member of the bank’s Asia-Pacific operating committee. 

Tang held various executive roles over eight years in Beijing and Hong Kong. Most recently, he was chairman and executive committee member of CLSA in Hong Kong, a wholly owned subsidiary of Citic Securities. Before that, he
