HSBC appoints Hong Kong/China banking head

HSBC has appointed Liu Che Ning as head of global banking, Hong Kong and China. Based in Hong Kong and reporting to Frank Slevin, head of global banking for Asia-Pacific, Liu is responsible for building and extending the firm’s client coverage and advisory in Hong Kong and mainland China. He will focus on managing relationships with major corporate and financial institution clients.

Previously, Liu was head of Hong Kong investment banking at Morgan Stanley. He has more than 16 years’ experience
