Appointment at Standard Chartered

Lim Cheng Teck has become the new chief executive of Standard Chartered in Singapore, succeeding Euleen Goh who has decided to retire from the bank. Goh had been the bank's CEO in Singapore since July 2001. Lim, currently chief operating officer (COO), starts his new role from March 6 subject to regulatory approval. He will report to Kai Nargolwala, group executive director, responsible for corporate governance in Asia. Lim has been expanding the bank's wholesale banking presence in China since
