CBOE names Griffith new vice-chairman

The board of directors of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) has announced Bradley Griffith will serve as its vice-chairman in 2007.

CBOE chairman William Brodsky said: “[Griffith] has always been an active participant on various exchange committees and a leading voice for the membership.” Griffith has been a member of the exchange since 1980, and is the managing member of one of its primary market-making firms.

Griffith will serve a one-year term beginning in January. He replaces Edward Tilly, who is stepping down after serving three consecutive years, the maximum the exchange’s rules allow. The vice-chairmanship is the highest member-elected position within the CBOE.
