Robert Michele picked his moment to join JP Morgan Asset Management; starting as global chief investment officer within the fixed income and currency group just four days after Lehman Brothers defaulted in September 2008.

Even before that seismic event, JP Morgan Asset Management’s fixed income team had been hit by what Michele describes as “a couple of difficult years”.
