Indian corporates frustrate international bond investors by sticking to domestic rupee markets

If investment opportunities were measured in terms of headlines and column inches, the Asian country offering the greatest potential to investors would be China. Its near neighbour and fellow emerging economic powerhouse, India, has not received the same level of attention.

But as the renowned investment guru Marc Faber told Credit recently, that situation is likely to change for the world’s second most populous nation, despite impediments such as inflation and bureaucracy.
