Credit investors optimistic, says BNP survey

BNP Paribas’s September fixed-income survey reveals that sentiment in the credit markets is more optimistic than three months earlier, although the majority of investors expect credit spreads to finish the year on a wider or neutral note.

“At this stage of the credit cycle, investors have reinforced their preference for corporates and hybrid capital at the expense of government bonds, sovereigns, supranationals and agencies, and senior financials,” says Paola Lamedica, credit portfolio strategist
