Isda docs to spur CDS of ABS growth

S&P reckons standardisation of Isda documentation will attract investors

Upcoming revisions to the International Swaps and Derivatives Association's documentation templates for credit default swap (CDS) options referenced to asset-backed securities (ABS) could spark a several billion-dollar fillip in demand for the products, says Standard & Poor's. Emily Bradley, a credit analyst at the ratings agency, says the standardisation of language in the revised templates would draw in new investors. She adds that more stringent definitions would ensure that protection buyers
