Nextel results pave way for rating rehabilitation

Nextel Communications continues to make progress towards emerging from junk status and crossing over into investment-grade territory. The Reston, VA-based wireless service provider posted strong financial results during the second quarter, which helped keep its credit rating in the upper levels of the junk range.
