Invention is the mother of CDO market expansion

Increasing investor demand is leading issuers and banks to create ever-more innovative CDO structures, and the market is surging as a result

There does not seem to be any stopping the market for collateralised debt obligations. In the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, according to data published in January 2007 by Moody's Investors Service, rated issuance of CDOs grew by 78% in 2006, to EUR101.9 billion.
