Primus to tap equity market

Primus Guaranty, the Bermuda-based holding company of credit default protection seller Primus Financial Products, is planning an initial public offering of common shares.

The credit derivatives specialist filed an S-1 registration statement – a form detailing the proposed share issue – with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) at the end of April. As the filing is currently under consideration by the regulator, Primus declined to speak to Risk for this article.
