Derivatives face regulatory scrutiny

Speaking at the International Swaps and Derivatives Association annual general meeting in Vienna on April 16, Jonathan Moulds, president for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia at Bank of America and (until April 17) chairman of Isda, warned there is increased concern among regulators about the risk linkages between products and counterparties, posing a challenge for the industry. "Anything beginning with 'C' - whether CDS or CDO or CLO - is being tarnished with the same brush," he said.
