Interest increases for container freight options in Asia

Asian interest in container freight options transactions is rising, following the first options trade based on the container freight swap agreement (CFSA) between Kerry Logistics and Alfred C Toepfer International led by Clarkson Securities, some market watchers say.

“The feedback from around Asia in the logistics chain is that they constantly want to protect themselves from the volatility of the container freight market while essentially preserving their physical relationship,” said David
