EDF orders 100.5MW US wind farm

EDF Energies Nouvelles has expanded its presence in North America with the commissioning of a 67-turbine, 100.5 megawatt (MW) capacity wind farm in Minnesota. The company now has 713MW installed US wind power capacity.

This new wind farm, in which a minority shareholding will be owned by financial investors, was developed and built by enXco, the US subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles.

The electricity it generates has been sold under a 25-year contract to Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency
