CEE power exchanges debate consolidation

The central and eastern European power markets are moving closer to a centralised platform, according to senior exchange officials at Energy Risk's Central and East European conference in Warsaw, Poland, on Monday.

"If the French and Germans did it, why can't we?" asked Zoltan Medveczki, chief executive of Hungarian power exchange HUPX, during a round-table discussion on the evolving role of power exchanges in the CEE region.
