The Norwegian government has allocated Nkr3.4 billion (US$600 million) to carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology in its 2010 national budget issued last week.
Funding will be allocated to CCS projects at Mongstad and Kårstø in Norway and also to research and development (R&D) of CCS technology.
