Agribusiness notes go against the grain of the credit crunch


Agribusiness-linked structured products are becoming more popular as the indexes they track post strong returns.

Agribusiness indexes have continued to rise this month despite the global credit crunch squeezing returns on their market-related counterparts. Retail interest in structured products linked to the consistent climbers has increased as a result. "We are seeing strong demand for these products," says Maarten de Widt, product developer at ABN Amro's private investor products group.
