Sour crude contract volumes on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange have grown steadily in the first month of trading, catching up with those of the rival IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) contract launched 11 days earlier.
After two years of planning and various delays, the Middle East's first international energy futures and commodities exchange, the Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME) opened for business on June 1, offering a physically settled Oman crude oil futures and two financially settled futures
