Merchants’ Exchange expands into energy futures

The contracts, which will be cash settled, are expected to start trading before the end of the first quarter, said the exchange. They cover light sweet crude oil, Brent crude oil, natural gas, European gas oil, NY harbor unleaded gasoline and NY harbor No.2 heating oil. The contracts were approved by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission January 25.
