Chinatrust Commercial Bank has boosted its reputation as the Taiwanese banking sector's derivatives expert with strong earnings and a series of innovative products to further showcase its derivatives trading and structuring ability. Its achievements in the past year have secured it Asia Risk's Taiwan house of the year award for the second time in three years.

At mid-year, the depth of the bank's know-how was revealed when it emerged Chinatrust had only $200,000 in exposure to US subprime loans
