CROs from top insurers spell out how to excel in their role

Avoid being too busy, build strong relationships and don't expect much praise – this was some of the advice on offer for chief risk officers (CROs) at the Insurance Risk Europe conference this week.

Defining what makes a successful CRO is complicated by the difficulty of determining what success looks like for this type of senior executive, said Simon Gadd, Group CRO at Legal & General.
