European hedge funds have scaled back exposures in response to another round of uncertainty in the eurozone. However, with equities and bonds trading cheaply, there may be some gems to be found in the rubble.

Rising tensions in the eurozone and questions about Greece’s future in the currency union dominated the headlines in May. With the European Central Bank (ECB) publicly considering courses of action if Greece is forced to leave the eurozone, markets are running scared again.
