Optimism in Japan creates more opportunities on the long side

The bull is back in Japan in the eyes of many local investors, but some hedge fund managers feel this may not prove the case in the longer term.

Hedge fund managers note the upturn in optimism may not necessarily be based on reality - but it is creating a volatile environment with opportunities on both the long and short sides.
