Three perform well in 2000

RG Niederhoffer Capital Management finished 2000 with an annual return of +60%. The New York-based adviser employs a quantitative trading strategy which takes advantage of short-term investor behaviour to go long or short on individual US stocks, and in global financial and natural resource markets.

The Optima fund gained 18.9% in 2000, bringing total growth since its launch in January 1989 to over 440%. Optima Group in New York manages the fund.
