Databases offer inacurate picture

Hedge fund investors sourcing hedge funds from just one database are gaining an inaccurate picture of the funds available to them, according to a study of nine leading databases by Strategic Financial Solutions.

The company's founder, Frank Smith, said research showed the existence of 'significant divides' between databases in terms of which hedge funds they included, as well as regarding how they measured and analysed data received.

His research found one third of the funds that did report
