UK pension funds are favouring private equities funds, says JPMF

A survey conducted by JPMorgan Fleming has claimed UK pension funds' current preferences are for private equity rather than hedge fund investments, with eight out of 10 saying returns had met trustees' expectations.

Forty four per cent of the UK's largest pension funds said they currently invest in private equity. However, hedge fund investments are still rare among such institutions, with only 8% saying they presently allocate to them. This figure does look set to grow in the near future
