What is the general case for investment now in emerging markets debt, and equity?

I hate to sound like a former president, but it depends on how you define 'investment'. Much of emerging markets debt is in what we call the "complacency stage", meaning that it is trading at or near historic highs in terms of dollar price or at or near historic lows in terms of yields.
