Singapore seeks recovery centre business

DISASTER RECOVERY

SINGAPORE -- Singapore’s prime minister Goh Chok Tong said in August that Singapore should try to attract businesses to use the country as a location for back-up IT facilities and recovery centres.

In his national day speech Goh said that Singapore’s reputation for reliability was a major asset and that the country was already seen by many businessmen as a safe and secure location for business continuity facilities. Several companies, including US technology giant IBM have located their disaster
