London Stock Exchange Deploys Fuzzy Logic To Track Insider Trading

THE London Stock Exchange has gone live with the first module of an automated system that monitors all deals on the exchange and alerts regulators to possible breaches of the UK's insider trading laws.

The LSE's initial "traffic police" module forms one part of a larger tracking system developed by Searchspace, a London-based company that specializes in applying artificial intelligence techniques to analyze large amounts of data.
