Continuity is an important part of risk management and Gilbert Kohnke has headed up OCBC's risk function since 2005 - a year in which the firm won Asia Risk's Risk House of the Year award, a plaudit he modestly attributes to the team that was in place at the time of his arrival.

However, the strides the Singapore bank has made in its risk management since can be firmly attributed to the chief risk officer and his aim to construct an integrated enterprise-wide risk management measurement
