Meyer software identifies firms are compliant with Shariah law

Meyer Capital Partners has developed a software system to identify whether companies being considered for investment are compliant with Shariah law.

Shariah Fund Inc, a division of Meyer Capital Partners and the world's first Islamic fund of hedge funds, is expected to use the software when it launches its portfolio in the first quarter of 2003.

Meyer Capital Partners, founded by Eric Meyer, plans to launch the proprietary software prod- uct with the help of Islamic scholars.
