Isda publishes Asia ex-Japan equity derivatives agreement

The International Swaps and Derivatives Association has published a master equity derivatives confirmation agreement contract for inter-dealer trades in the Asia-Pacific region excluding Japan.

The document has been published to document swaps and options on indexes and single shares in Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. It can be used for other jurisdictions, dependent on negotiations by counterparties.

“This document caters to the specific needs of the Asia-Pacific region in allowing election of terms that reflect market practice in each of the regional markets,” said Robert Pickel, chief executive of Isda.
